The VuLva

Women often refer to the female genitalia as the Vagina. This is incorrect. The Vagina is the internal part of the genitalia. The outside is known as the Vulva. This is very important to know because it will help the medical professionals know exactly where your problem is. For example, if you tell them you have white patches on your vagina, they will look internally. If you tell them you have white patches on your vulva, they will look externally. The diagram above will help you explain exactly where your symptoms are eg: Labia minora, Labia majora, clitoris etc.
It is also important to know the difference between your Labia's.

The Labia Minora is the inside lips.

The Labia Majora is the bigger outside lips.
